Ledgemont Energy Partners employs an opportunistic natural gas and oil acquisition and development program with a primary focus on onshore shale formations in the United States. Ledgemont Energy Partners' strategy is to exploit – not explore – well-established oil and gas reserves via applied state-of-the-art drilling and production technology by acquiring or leasing acreage and engaging in drilling development. As production development proves reserves, management believes the Partnership will benefit from royalties, lease bonuses, working interests, tax efficiencies, well production and general asset appreciation. Management has extensive experience in purchasing, leasing, developing and managing producing and non-producing oil and gas assets. Ledgemont Energy Partners targets and acquires geology based on its rigorous, in-depth proprietary sourcing methodology, and utilizes a network of experienced professionals to source acreage, including local landmen, geologists, geo-physicists, drilling operators and mineral brokers. All of our targeted acquisition areas are considered potential targets of established operators, based on known drilling trends. The Partnership may also participate in drilling programs, directly as a working interest owner or indirectly through investment in others, and has negotiated a drilling program with an existing operator that acquires and develops producing and non-producing mineral interests, including royalties, leases and working interests.
